Fully Automated Ex-proof 6inch Glass Molecular Distillation System Delivered to Australia

We are pleased to share the successful delivery of a fully automated and explosion-proof glass molecular distillation system to a client in Australia. The system is designed around a 150mm (6-inch) diameter main evaporator, providing an effective evaporation area of 0.25 m², designed for the efficient separation and purification of high-value, heat-sensitive materials. This compact system integrates automated feeding, distillation, and collection processes within a safe and controlled environment. Its explosion-proof certification makes it particularly suitable for handling volatile solvents and compounds in research or pilot-scale applications.

The setup includes a 10L jacketed feed tank with PTFE valves and an automated gear pump for controlled feeding at rates of 2–5 L/h. Inside the evaporator, a PTFE wiper blade driven by a magnetic stirrer ensures uniform thin-film formation and efficient heat transfer. Two separate explosion-proof gear pumps are used for automatic collection of light and heavy fractions, each capable of handling 2–5 L/h, enabling continuous and closed-loop operation.Heating tapes are also applied to the discharge lines to prevent clogging and maintain material flowability.

This system is ideal for industries such as pharmaceuticals, essential oils, nutraceuticals, and specialty chemicals, where high-purity separation under mild thermal conditions is required. It enables the gentle processing of temperature-sensitive compounds, ensuring minimal degradation and maximum product integrity. The automated feed and discharge mechanisms enhance operational consistency and reduce manual intervention, supporting continuous and repeatable performance.
